Reporting Pupil Progress

You will receive two types of written reports on your child's progress in school. These include your child's report card every nine weeks and individual test score reports from standardized assessments or tests.

Grading Scale

  • A      90-100 %         Excellent
  • B      80-89%            Very Good
  • C      70-79%            Average
  • N      60-69%            Needs to Improve
  • U      59% or below   Unsatisfactory
  • Other codes are used for lower grades and non basic subjects. Look for the legend on the report card.

    Report Cards:

A report on the progress of each student is issued each nine weeks and clearly grade the student's:

    • Academic performance
    • Conduct and behavior
    • Attendance

Florida Education laws require that all report cards accurately reflect a student's academic performance at each grade level. Report cards contain a statement of the student's academic performance or non-performance at grade level. The final report card reflects promotion, retention, administrative placement and or credit earned.

    Interim Reports:

Schools will produce Interim/Progress Reports every 3 weeks.  Interim grades will be reflective of the cumulative grades for each grading period up through the Wednesday night.

This report includes information on the student's skill development, work habits, and personal development. Like the report card, this report should be signed and returned to school.

    Pupil Progression Plan

State and local requirements for graduation and promotion are explained in the Lee County Pupil Progression Plan. A copy is available to read at the school office.
