Impressed with Fall Festival and Other Activities

I just wanted to tell you that I was very impressed with the Fall Festival last night. I, also, wanted to let you know, several of the other parents have been praising everyone's efforts, and thought it was a success. It appears that the parents, also, consider you a success. There has been a lot of talk, regarding how excited we are, with how you've "upgraded" the appearance and the running of the school. We're, also, pleased with the multiple activities that were planned before the kids even returned. It's very impressive and you and your team should be lauded for your efforts and know that we consider it a quite an achievement!

Dear Dr Luster,

My son has been a student at HCE since 2010. While attending the fall festival I reflected on my his past years. He was held back in the 3rd grade in 2013 due to FCAT scores & I'm actually greatful he has an extra year at Hancock Creek Elementary. His little sister recently started Kindergarten this year & I can't think of a better place to help build my children's future. It was a good school before but I think you've made it a GREAT school. It's hard when both parents are working, or have younger kids on different schedules to meet other parents/ families. Since you've been at HCE you're dedicated to raising a community & HCE is almost like another family. You've seemed to take this school above & beyond. So I just wanted to say thank you. My son & I were discussing this this evening & he totally agrees. Lot's of family nights & you have some great incentives to boost our kids interests. I've personally always loved that HCE's staff, especially the office knew who we were. I've been fortunate enough to meet a few of your newest staff & you're so blessed to have them on your team. Our Parents Love Us and We Love Them

This is our first year at Hancock Creek and we have enjoyed every minute. The teachers and staff greet the children with a smile everyday. My sons teacher is just wonderful, he loves waking up and going to school every morning. The communication is perfect between parents and teachers. The homework is just enough to see what they are learning in class. Principle is doing a wonderful job with the school and we cant wait to see what next year brings.

Teachers at this school are effective.

I have one son that is in 3rd grade and my other son is in kindergarten. My 3rd grader has had good teachers throughout his time at Hancock and my kindergartener has definitely had the best teacher, Mr.Bell. As parents we are not able to be at school all day with our kids but because of Mr. Bell I know what is going on with my child even when I am physically not there and also know that my child is being held to a high standard and that is priceless!! My son loves and respects Mr. Bell and any teacher that he has in the future will have big shoes to fill. Mr. Bell has set the standard high

This school develops strong character in its students, like integrity, compassion and respect.

The schools values are perfectly in line with the values that we teach are children on a daily basis.

Having lived in another county and now living here and sending my child Hancock Creek I only have high praises for this school and the teachers. The mere fact that the staff knows majority of the children by name is impressive to me.. Hancock Creek is more than a school to me... it is a second home I am comfortable sending my child to 5 days a week.

My children have been at Hancock Creek for the last 5 years (we currently have 3rd and 4th graders), and my husband and I couldn't be happier. Any reviews done before 2014 can absolutely be dismissed. Administration has changed and made numerous noticeable changes not only physically to the campus, but also in increasing support staff and adding additional after school activities for students. Between my 2 children, I have had the pleasure of being able to work with 9 different teachers, all of whom have put my kids best interest at the forefront of their very busy teaching days. Both of my children have been able to participate in all after school activities they have signed up for now that they are in grades 3 and 4. I love that HCE is able to broaden their horizons with Arts and STEM programs. Hands down HCE is worth every bit of 5 stars!

My son is finishing up his first year of school and my husband and I couldn't be more grateful for such a wonderful experience. The school has become like a second family to us. The front office staff is friendly and even knows us by name. His teacher is caring and has had great communication all year long. We have really enjoyed all of the extra activities that the school has had to offer. I can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!

This school has exceeded my expectations. Talk about stellar learning environment! State if the art projection tvs in the cafeteria, unbelievably spotlessly clean. I LOVE the teachers and the front office. It smells like cleanliness right when you walk in. The best part: MY SON LOVES HIS SCHOOL!!! He is a kindergartener, and reads and writes better than I ever imagined he could at this age, AND NEVER HAD ANY SCHOOLING BEFORE!! I am very impressed with this school. I recommend it highly!

My daughter is now in the 1st grade and she absolutely loves it at Hancock. Her Kindergarten teacher, Ms Black, was the greatest teacher ever! She treated all of her students like they were her own children. She gets on their level and is just an all around fun teacher. My daughter still loves to go visit with her and they hug every time they see each other in the hall. Hancock wasn't my 1st choice for schools and I was quite bummed about not getting my 1st choice school... But almost instantly my mind was changed thanks to Ms Black and the staff at Hancock. The principal is great. The staff is friendly. The teachers truly love what they do. The kids are all happy. They go to music and art once a week and P.E. every day. They have a S.T.E.M club, a chorus club, frequent PTSO meetings. They do fundraisers, 5K's, turkey trots at Thanksgiving, book fairs, and a field trip at the end of the year for each grade. This is such a great school and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a school for their children. Oh and their parent pick up/dismissal procedure is organized and pain less and I've been there a bunch of times where the front staff knows me but they still ID me before allowing me into the school. I have no worries about my childs safety there!

Thank you so much for all you do! My son Joshua has never had an art teacher that he has liked as much as you. He always says such nice things about you. I have enjoyed being able to see Joshua's artwork through Artsonia, and I appreciate all the work you do to keep it updated. I have purchased many things with Joshua's artwork on them, and Artsonia makes it so easy to do. I think it really helps to boost Joshua's confidence when he sees me using a mug with his artwork on it, or the t-shirt with one of his drawings. Every piece of his art is creative, beautiful, and unique in its own way to him, and it is amazing how the artwork looks even better on the items that Artsonia offers. Thank you again for the encouragement, patience, and caring you show my son in art class and in chorus also!
